Woolsey Hall

Woolsey Hall  is infamous for it’s musical entertainment.  The list ranges from rock stars such as Jimi Hendrix to the Yale Philharmonic!

Most of the concerts held in this  equisite buildings feature musicians from Yale Music School are free if charge.  Many do not take advantage of the spectacular events located in New Haven because they are unaware.

I was fortunate to walk across this stage when I graduated college !  The excitement of sharing the stage where Jimi Hendrix rocked the stage singing my favorite song “Purple Haze” is indescribable !

I also attended a concert by Leon Rusell in 1974 at this venue!

The architects, Carrere and Hastings,  who designed this eloquent Hall also designed the New York Public Library!

The interior remains a site to visit when you are in New Haven!
